Where it all began for me. Kneeling down on hard concrete in skateparks and wading through waist deep snow of Canadian slopes to capture brilliant moments of athleticism. I love the thrill, the energy, the danger. I’m also deeply fascinated by our human connection to the outdoors and how we interact with it. It lights a fire in me to be there capturing those raw moments of self expression as if you were there to witness it yourself. It was only natural that my passion for these sports would lead me to photographing the people involved. Access to these fascinating subcultures for the last decade has been an incredible source of inspiration and humility.
